The hotel: we liked very much the hotel, the room was very clean and with nice furnishings. we had free wifi, breakfest with cereals, milk, toast, coffee, tea, butter, marmelade, fruits etc. The owners are very nice people we were treated like friends and that gave us the impresion of being at home. I truly recommend this hotel. Location: in the vecinity you can find markets and restaurants. Vatican is 20 min walking, as well as Castel St Angelo. We used the metro only one time to go to the Colosseum because by foot takes around an hour and a half to get there.

So we had a bit of a tricky start to our trip in Rome as there had been a mix up with our booking however the hotel went above and beyond to rectify this. They paid for our taxi to another hotel and a nights stay there until our room was ready and then for a taxi back the following morning. Whilst at first I was very frustrated (this was the last stop on our trip and I was very tired at this point) the way in which the hotel helped us immediately changed this. In fact it worked in our favour as the hotel we had to stay in for the first night was very close to the Colosseum so we did that for the first day and the hotel booked our tours for us. Our room was absolutely beautiful!! it was immaculate clean and very modern. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and it was one of the best nights sleep I had on the trip. Great location and very close to the Vatican! Loved this hotel and would come back here within a heartbeat. All the staff were so friendly and always went out of their way! Thank you for making it such a wonderful stay!

Stayed here for 6 nights and we loved this hotel! Great access to the metro (right in front of a major station) plus busses. You could even walk to the Vatican in about 15 min or so. Lots of amenities such as restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The front desk stuff was VERY helpful and kind. The rooms were a bit small, but very clean and well maintained. The Wifi was excellent. My only minor complaint was that it was a bit difficult to find at first, you have to buzz to get in and there was limited signage once in to know where to go. Otherwise, would stay here in a heartbeat :)

If you don't mind a stay a little further out from the old part of town, and just need a decent comfortable, safe place to stay, this is the place. The service is nice, the rooms small but quiet and the location is nice.

The best thing about this is that its bang on the Lepanto metro station. So close, that if you are a light sleeper like me, you can feel the rumbling of the metro in the early morning when its quiet. Its in the vatican/prati area and the vatican is just about 1.5 kms away. Our room faced the main road (Via Giulio Cesare) so if you open the window there is plenty of vehicular noise from the road. That said, the soundproofing in the window is pretty good fo if you close its it bearable. But since there is no AC, the room can get a bit stifling, especially in the summers. Maybe you can ask for a fan, check before going. The place can do with a facelift - new flooring or carpets and a lick of paint, especially in the bathrooms. They dont serve breakfast, which we always prefer within our hotel. But they have a common fridge so you can get your stuff and store it there. The staff are very helpful with maps, directions and questions. They insisted on charging upfront for the 3 nights staywhich was a bit strange as they already had our credit card from the booking.
